you’ll have to open using IE or firefox when the box opens i figured out how to change fonts and move around the text i also tried two same fields and it worked so I figured that out.

801 – I like this to a certain extent defining a bold tag as being bold is a bit annoying xml seem not to like it being on my wiki though it keeps trying to download????

802 – Once sorting the temporary file thing with the caps and lower cases its good it would seem overall to be like using a fresh blank slate rather than using the pre defined rules of html which has its pro’s like simple to understand and redefine sets of different links like internal and external with different colours otherwise its redifining html standards which i suppose could get messy

CSS Lists

I have played with the examples on the listomatic site and used the outline to edit some already listed items click on the link in previous post ‘examples’ or there <– and follow the links to list 1 or list 2. I changed the colour, this list was very easy to work with and worked straight away, although in IE has a dirty great block on the right in FFox it dont?….

Well i tried the fixed box for the links down the side added a absoulute box so the text would not run underneath the fixed box when it was changed in size then how about adding a header i did this by alternating the amount of pixels everything is away from things. This does not work in IE6 but doesnt look too bad have a look see click here

try shrinking the page to make the scroll bar apear to take full advantage

There is no dreamweaver in the library N my computer crashed so i tried its a little messy i would change the links obviously and the link 1 and 2 and hompage colours so they too have font colours and have borders on my tables looks too plain Click here

As there is so many types of ways of reading this information how its presented is key. very similar to the spoken language. I think this site has loads of usefull tips and key is it is broken down into easy bites and is understandable, although it seems to highly favour itself in the context coding and the accesibility of the coding itself rather than the actuall body of text. have a read what do you think?

Fonts used, Colours used, Site Layout

This site has a light colour scheme with a nice font and font colour, The look of the site is very plain simple but elegant and fresh. The site uses a standard side bar when searching highlighting sponsored or similar searches and a main body of links.

Images

The site uses some images/Logos with relevent text next to most are pretty easy to understand and intuative apart from the MS logo which has a hover over use which means some uses are never used.

Navigation

The controlls are straight FWD for this site and really intuative with clear defined links and space the site is not cluttered for information

Hyperlinks

The links on this search engine are clearly defined with the usual blue look and purple/red visited sites, this makes the site very clear to use. A favorite feature is the image search with no “next Page” it continualy loads and when an image is selkected it is magnified to include information on its location.

Plugins & Scripts

The use of plugins and scripts on this site from experience and playing at home olderversions of browsers have a little trouble using the bells and whistles of the site but there is a more basic version that loads for these.

The “ease of use” and “look and feel”

The Ease of use of this site is brilliant apart from that MS logo and advanced search options prior to searching the main advantage of this site is the feedback button its obvious that MS is trying to learn from the users needs, the site can be customised like MSN but with more gizzmos like widgets and such like but in a way that simpler clearer and fresh. I think the overall feel of the site makes is a clean simple fresh take on its previous messy stuffed full of information father MSN I have it as my homepage as overall its fairly good at what its purpose is!

Less information put into body of the website means a quicker loading time, with CSS only once does the text style have to be defined then can be used throughout a page or even site

The time taken to change fonts and layout can be cut by only editing the CSS once, and new content can be added quickly and edited to look the same as the rest of the site.

Accesibility

Its easier to change what the page looks like for different monitors, projectors, TV’s handhelds etc.

For users with poor eyesight or colour blind font size and colour can be accounted for without having to have all needs accounted for in one website style.
